Conference Documents: Investing In Youth Employment 9-10 May
May 23On the 9th and 10th of May 2011, the Commonwealth Youth Programme held a Pan-Commonwealth conference on Investing in Youth Employment and Enterprise.
The conference was an attempt to seek the wider engagement of multi-stakeholders to address the potentially but not fully understood area of meaningful and inclusive youth engagement.
The conference also built upon and consolidated initiatives on youth employment and entrepreneurship development held at regional levels on the Commonwealth in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Pacific. It is pertinent to mention here that CYP focuses on youth enterprise as it is critical in the context of youth employment, building youth social capital and economic empowerment.
