The Commonwealth Students Association Announces New Executive for 2025-2028

The Commonwealth Students’ Association (CSA) is pleased to announce the results of the 2025 executive elections, which concluded at 12:00 pm BST on 12 September 2025.

This year’s elections saw strong participation from youth delegates across Commonwealth member states. The newly elected executive will serve a three-year term from 2025 to 2028, leading efforts to strengthen student advocacy, democratic participation, and youth leadership in education policy and practice.

The CSA is one of 14 youth-led networks supported by the Commonwealth Youth Programme. Established in 2012 at the 18th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers in Mauritius, the Association was created to provide a collective platform for national student councils and student-led organisations across the Commonwealth. Since then, it has become a vital voice for students in shaping the future of education within the Commonwealth.

Results of the 2025 CSA Executive Elections

The following individuals have been elected to lead the CSA for the 2025-2028 term:

  1. President: Francis Azubuike, (Nigeria)
  2. Vice Chairperson, Advocacy and Partnership : Justice Alor, (Ghana)
  3. Vice Chairperson: Communications and Research: Princess Acolatse, (Ghana)
  4. Vice Chairperson, Democracy and Participation: Shaikh Rifad Mahmud, (Bangladesh)

Representatives:

  1. Africa: Ibrahim Abdullahi, (Nigeria)
  2. Asia: Palakh Khanna, (India)
  3. Caribbean: Ashley Longford, (Belize)
  4. Pacific: Bryan Pokiton, (Papua New Guinea)
  5. Representative, Special Interest Groups: Sanskriti Singh Rawat, (India)
