Commonwealth Correspondents launch Youth Voices podcast

The Commonwealth Correspondents Network has launched the Commonwealth Youth Voices, a podcast to provide youth with an additional platform on which to share their perspectives on issues of concern.

The podcast was launched on Sunday, September 15, 2024 and is hosted by Sylvester Mtenga, a correspondent from Tanzania. Sylvester, who is also the Network’s Membership Lead says the podcast aims to “amplify the voices of young journalists, activists, and social commentators across our Commonwealth … and seeks to foster a sense of community and collaboration among the young people of our Commonwealth.”

In the premiere episode, guests Kimera Joshua of Uganda and Tahiya Islam of Bangladesh join Sylvester to discuss: “How are Youth in Commonwealth countries addressing mental health challenges?

Each weekly episode will be between 30 and 40 minutes in length and will be released on major podcast streaming sites such as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
