"Everyday heroes can create social cohesiveness"
October 1Harmanan Singh, 17, a Commonwealth Correspondent from Mumbai in India, teamed up with a videographer to create a short film that follows a growing friendship and explores the concept of empathy.
I wrote the story for this short film called, “Letters”. It carries the message of social cohesiveness and empathy.
The world has become highly globalised. Interactions between diverse cultures and traditions is inevitable. Our movie, “Letters” endeavours to highlight the importance of social cohesiveness as we move towards an era of global citizenship.
The film also showcases how man can overcome obstacles through empathy and compassion.
“Its a simple and sweet story with a strong message. If people around the world show empathy towards fellow beings, our world would be a better place to live in. To attain this, effective communication is crucial”, says Jishnu Chatterjee, the director of this film.
