Hanging out with the Commonwealth Youth Climate Change network

June 2nd, 2015

The Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network is hosting a series of Google+ Hangouts this week to discuss sustainability and global consumption ahead of its Commonwealth Youth Expert Group Meeting taking place next week in London, UK.

The discussions provide an overview on how young people from across the Commonwealth connect and understand the links between unsustainable production, consumption patterns and climate change, and how these factors pose a threat to their communities.

The following topics will be addressed during the Hangouts:

  1. Looking at the Impacts of Unsustainable Production and Consumption Patterns on Climate
  2. Consuming with Care: Changing our Behaviours to Live within Planetary Boundaries
  3. Empowering Young People on ‘Green’ and Sustainable Enterpreneurship and Enterprises’
  4. Using Education and Information to Make Citizens Aware of their Consuming Behaviors.

There will be one Hangout for each of the four Commonwealth‬ regions, taking place from 1-5 June 2015 on Google+. Environmental advocates and researchers will also be participating, so it’s a great opportunity to be part of the conversation and share your expectations and aspirations for a more sustainable world.
