Global Peace Summit 2023: Uniting Young Leaders for Peace and Sustainability

The Global Peace Summit 2023, held in Dubai, UAE, from March 15 to 18, brought together young leaders from over 70 countries worldwide to collaborate on promoting peace and sustainability.

The event was organized by the Global Peace Chain, a worldwide peace-building organization established in 2018 with a vision to cultivate a culture of tolerance, inclusivity, interfaith harmony, co-existence, love, and social peace-building across borders.

The event aimed to develop a deeper understanding of human rights advocacy and establish international peace initiatives that promote tolerance and inclusivity.

The four-day event provided an enlightening and transformative experience for all attendees, providing them with the opportunity to build a worldwide network of like-minded individuals committed to promoting global peace and cooperation.

Shivansh Mishra, an accomplished and visionary young leader from India, represented his country at the summit. He participated in various activities, including workshops, seminars, and panel discussions, to explore ways to advance peace and sustainability in India and worldwide.

He exchanged ideas and perspectives with other young leaders from diverse backgrounds and cultures, contributing to the creation of actionable plans and initiatives.

The Indian Delegation also included Anirudh Giri, the co-founder of The Woke Lawyer Foundation; Shreya Dhar, an International Exchange student; Saumya Baskaran , Richard Jome and Mariyam Khan.

The summit highlighted the importance of peacebuilders creating inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity and promote mutual respect to combat violence.

The founders of Global Peace Chain, Kamran Zafar and Muhammad Ahmad, also shared their experience of promoting peace and resilience through fostering a culture of mutual understanding and interfaith harmony.

The engagement of influential social groups such as diplomats, religious scholars, and community-based organizations with Global Peace Ambassadors was crucial to achieving the organization’s goal of building resilience by cultivating a culture of tolerance and social peace-building across borders.

The summit’s agenda included discussions on peace education, interactive sessions, and peace talks with these groups.

The delegates at the summit were from all over the world including Commonwealth countries like Singapore, Canada, Rwanda, Australia, Ghana, Kenya, and Cameroon. This diversity in representation allowed for a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives.

Global Peace Chain aspires to assemble the youth all over the world for a unanimous Peace Mission to sign a Petition stated as “PEACE BY DIALOGUE.” The petition signifies the only mode of peace achievement that is peace dialogue. Through Global Peace Ambassadors, the organization intends to reach out to communities, convey the message of peace’s significance, and equip fellow youth to stand for peace.

The Global Peace Summit 2023 was an important platform for young leaders to come together and work towards a more peaceful and sustainable future. Other participants from India and around the world contributed their perspectives and ideas, making it a diverse and inclusive event.
